A HARRY Potter Day was held at insurance firm TH March in Yelverton recently in memory of actor Alan Rickman, who died in January of pancreatic cancer.

Rickman is beloved by movie fans across the globe for his role as Severus Snape in the Harry Potter series, as well as notable roles in Die Hard, Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves and Love Actually as well as numerous other films in a long career.

The event raised £161 for Pancreatic Cancer UK. Staff dressed up as characters from the Harry Potter series and savouries and cakes were sold. There was also a raffle and guess the sweets in the jar competition.
