ARE you interested in the health of your local community? Would you like to influence NHS decision-makers? Do you have something to say? Can you spare a few hours a week to get involved? Mid Devon Patient and Public Involvement Health Forum are currently seeking members from a wide range of backgrounds, ages, experiences and abilities to join them. PPI Forums are independent of the NHS and have real powers to enable them to seek views, voice opinions, make recommendations and monitor and review NHS services. The forums are supported locally in the voluntary sector and regionally by a government body, the Commission for Patient and Public Involvement in Health. Travel costs, carer and childcare expenses are paid for. The forum meets monthly around the Mid Devon area and meetings are advertised in the local press. For further information on PPI Forums or an application form, please contact the regional office on 01392 332100 For general information http://www.cppih.org">www.cppih.org Rebecca Keeling Forum advisor North and Mid Devon
