PUPILS in Horrabridge have been busy learning about all the different types of people in the world as part of a cultural diversity week.
Horrabridge Primary School has enjoyed visits from several guests and a wide variety of experiences that will help to develop a greater understanding of some of the cultures that exist within our increasingly multi-cultural society.
Some of the cultures the pupils have learned about include Indian culture, Hindu beliefs and Jamaican customs. Year five and six have also seen a presentation on Polish culture from one of the pupils and his father.
The school also had a Spanish week during half-term which concluded with a celebration assembly that showcased the wide variety of experiences and opportunities that the children had enjoyed during the week from Spanish cooking and food tasting to re-telling the traditional tale of the three little pigs in Spanish and studying different Spanish artists.
