WITH regard to the letter from Judith Brown in last week's Times, the digital signs at Tavistock bus station and Yelverton roundabout were purchased by Devon County Council but are currently managed by us as part of the Plymouth real time passenger information system. There have been some data issues with the sign at Tavistock bus station and engineers are working to resolve these as soon as possible. The sign should display the message 'please refer to timetables' in the event of a fault, so this is clearly another issue we need to rectify. We have turned off the sign in the meantime to avoid any further confusion. We have also agreed with Devon County Council to temporarily turn off the sign at Yelverton roundabout because it is not able to display destination information. This was causing confusion for passengers because some of the services using this stop travel in both directions. We would like to apologise to bus passengers for any inconvenience and are working to resolve these issues as quickly as possible. In the meantime we would advise people to refer to the timetables on display at the bus stops. Tammy Baines, Corporate Communications Officer Plymouth City Council
