THE Women's World Day of Prayer will be celebrated with a special service at Whitchurch next week.

The speaker at the service, in St Andrew's Church, will be Di Wood, the south west co-ordinator for the Lydia Fellowship — the theme of the service, 'How Many Loaves have You?' was written by Chilean women.

Stretching from Peru to Antarctica, Chile is a land of incredible contrasts which also has the highest incidence of domestic violence in Latin area.

The first service held during the World Day of Prayer on Friday, March 4 will be held in Tonga — services will then take place around the world in more than 170 countries and will finish some 35 hours later in Western Samoa.

At the St Andrew's event, Traidcraft goods will be on sale after the service, which takes place at 2pm.

All welcome.
