THE Tavistock group of Devon Wildlife Trust starts its winter programme of talks and walks next week.
On Wednesday, September 10, Peter Glanville will open the season with a talk on The Wildlife Year at 8pm in the Parish Church Centre in Plymouth Road, Tavistock. Peter is a keen local naturalist who takes photographs of wildlife and most of the photographs used in the talk will be local.
On Sunday, September 14 there will be a guided walk with Jo Pullin at Halsdon Nature Reserve, which is a DWT reserve. There are woodland, wild flowers and a new hide and the walk will be a gentle ramble, although there is some steep ground. Meet at the Ashwell car park at 10am.
