AN exhibition of winter and Christmas scenes captured by former Tavistock Times photographer Jim Thorington is on display at the new town museum in Court Gate.

Organised by the Tavistock and District History Society, the theme is Christmas past and winter scenes. It follows the group's two previous exhibitions of the late Jim Thorington's work, which attracted more than 700 visitors.

The exhibition is free of charge, and the doors are open Fridays and Saturdays from 10am to 4pm until December 20.

Jim Thorington's widow, Shirley, is pictured at the exhibition with members of the history group, Roderick Martin, Geoffrey Bassington and Kevin Dickens.
