TAKING advantage of the sunny autumn weather 58 lady members of Tavistock Golf Club played in the monthy Stableford.

In division one Dawn Phillott and Patty Congo shared the honours with 34 points followed by Elaine Cooper and Shirley Trevena both coming in with 32 pts.

Division two saw Marilyn Allen scored 39pts with Gail Reed and Margot Angel both on 36 pts.  Topping division three with 40pts was Jenny Kay, second Ann Court on 33pts and third Sue Pratley on 32pts.  The weather was not quite so kind for the qualifying round of the Daily Mail Foursomes, won on countback by Sharon Williams and Ann Court with 35pts from Wendy George and Hazel Cash.  The date and venue for the next round is yet to be announced.

The D E Cragg Cup is for the best four nett scores over the season ending in September.  Junior Will Stenhouse, who has had a great season, won the trophy with a nett 254.  In second place was another junior Mike Henderson with nett 260 and Pete Stankevitch was third with a nett 276.

Scoring was close in the Greenkeepers Cup stableford but David Statton had an excellent 43pts to win the trophy.  Paul Reid and Chris Gawman both came in with 39pts and, on 38pts, were Sam Hurdwell and Kenny Mackenzie.
