WHITCHURCH Ladies had a break from their unbeaten league fixtures to play two T20 games in a day, but still managed to carry on winning against Cornwood and Bovey Tracy.
It was a chance for some different players to shine with the bat over two games. These were Gillian Northey 44 not out; Ali Moore 25no and Ann Ruddock 14 in the first game.
In the second against Bovey, Mhairi McCall, 18, and Briony Jones, 25, both played well.
The bowlers were reliable as ever with Cathy Griffin taking five wickets over the two games and Ann Ruddock and Ang Hunt three each.
Cathy Warne bowled well only giving away three turns in her two overs.
Next week the ladies play their last league game, also against Cornwood, and hope to make it a clean sweep to take the Division 2 title.
