OKEHAMPTON Camera Club have awarded Tom Wallis with the title Photographer of the Year.

Tom won the award for his photograph of a long tailed tit, which was judged as the best overall photo. Members of the club entered four prints in different categories, and the marks for these were added to results from competitions held throughout the year.

The club now has a planned break from meetings until September, when the club's annual exhibition will be on show at the John Young Gallery at the Museum of Dartmoor Life from September 7 to October 1.
