DARTMOOR Railway will be entertaining guests with something new this weekend, when the company?s newly acquired restaurant buffet car takes its first trip along the tracks.
John Love, marketing manager, said some innovations are being introduced on the Saturday dining evening run.
?There are several new things happening on this night, such as a full wine and dine serving up to 45 people, a fully stocked bar with waiter service, a jazz band on the train, a new locomotive hauling the longest train that we have had on our own, along with our own Blue Bel Mel existing loco.
?We shall be going up to Meldon first, then down the length of our line to the boundary, some 15 and-a-half miles miles,? said John.
Although the three-course meal was fully booked as the Times went to press, there is still space in the seating area to enjoy the run and music, with waiter service from the bar.
