AN historic window at St Michael's Church in Princetown is being removed for essential restoration work, part of a £95,000 project being carried out by the Churches' Conservation Trust.

The entire east window is being taken out by specialists, and should hopefully be back in situ by the end of October. In the mean time, the area has been filled with a perspex window, specially designed by the children of Princetown Primary School.

Funding for the work has been secured from the Heritage Lottery Fund and other organisations.
