The curtain raiser to the new football season sees league champions Arsenal take on FA Cup winners Manchester United ? and you could be there!

The Times has teamed up with McDonald?s Restaurants Ltd to offer one lucky winner the chance to win the tickets and attend the match.

The Football Community Shield, formerly the Charity Shield, is all part of a super summer of soccer which kicked off last weekend with the start of the Euro 2004 play-offs.

Sixteen teams are taking part in the football spectacular which culminates with the Euro 2004 Final in Lisbon on July 4.

And at Cardiff?s Millennium Stadium on August 8 some of Europe?s top stars will be on the pitch.

McDonald?s are the official sponsors of the FA and FAW trust, and their four-year partnership will see the creation of an additional 10,000 community football coaches, each committing to one hour per week of football coaching in local communities.
