Duchy Division 1 Bere Alston Utd 3 Lanreath 2 FIRST versus second was going to be competitive and Bere were one down in the first minute to a brilliant goal giving Craig Howells no chance. Bere were all over the place and got away with murder. Slowly getting their composure Bere put Lanreath under pressure and Steve Daymond scored an overhead goal. In the second half the Lanreath long ball caught Bere out. Only poor finishing and good keeping kept Bere in the game until another long ball was missed and Lanreath went back in front. Bere now upped their game and arch predator Steve Daymond struck home a peach of a goal to level. Ian Crabb scored another to put Bere in front as the game got over competitive, resulting in both losing players to red cards. This win ensures Bere are promoted to the premiership next season. They now have to wait to see if it is as champions or runners-up.
