REGARDING the present dilemma which seems to prevail about the supermarket in Okehampton, I would like to ask if there is any reason why the adequate sized site which is adjacent to the link road between Crediton Road and North Road was not chosen for Waitrose and why it should not be chosen for the proposed third supermarket.
It is not only an easily accessible site, but it would also greatly benefit the ever-increasing housing development to the east of the town.
I feel that some sort of explanation is needed because I know I am not the only one who feels this way.
If somebody can produce a good reason why this site still remains unused I would like to know it.
