MYSELF and the other food unit within the pannier market felt it wrong that we were not able to open during the food festival weekend.
We support the market and town during 52 weeks of the year and even though it was a privately organised event it seems a bit silly that as food units we were not able to open.
As we were all boarded up for the weekend we all put notices up to inform our customers that we would be open again on the Tuesday. These notices were taken down. Who did this?
Why, when we are all local businesses producing and selling local foods, were we not able to open?
I for one produce foods for some of the exhibitors of the food festival.
