WRITER Wendy Bray is the speaker at the next Taste and See dinner for women at the Ordulph Arms on Monday October 8 at 7pm for 7.30pm. She will be addressing the issue: ?Whose life is it anyway? ? A different kind of cancer story.? Wendy has written five books, contributed to several more, writes widely for a number of publications and is a regular columnist for the Evening Herald. She lives in Plymouth with her husband and two teenage children and has survived two isolated cancers within six years and therefore knows what it means to face death in order to live life. Her first book ?In the Palm of God?s Hand?, a personal, bittersweet and often hilarious diary of living with cancer , won a biography award in 2002. Wendy speaks widely at conferences and special events and is known for her warm, honest and often light hearted style. Taste and See, open to all women of any age, is organised by a committee representing the churches of the Tavistock area and anyone is welcome to attend. For further information and to book tickets (£7.95 to include a two-course meal), contact Linda Medland on 01822 615940 or Ruth Newman 01822 616859.
