Four talented young musicians from Tavistock's Mount House School have been invited to perform with national ensembles.

The four boys all play brass and are taught at the school by Peter Jones, and the Mount House director of music Gill Waters.

Bertie Jayarajah (trumpet), George Andrews (French horn) and Christopher Villaquiran (trumpet) will attend a course and give a performance at Easter with the Children's National Wind Sinfonia.

Jamie Farrington was selected for both the National Children's Wind Orchestra and the National Children's Orchestra. Jamie will attend courses at Easter, during the summer and in December, giving concerts at venues including the Queen Elizabeth Hall in London. He will be joined by fellow brass player Ruaridh Matthews who left Mount House last summer, and is now a music scholar at Wells Cathedral School.
