OKEHAMPTON ladies? hockey team took the first half to settle into this friendly match.
White Eagles? forwards were dangerous on the break with some excellent ball control. Despite continuous pressure on the Tiverton defence the first half ended with Okehampton 2-0 down.
Okehampton were heartened in the second half when a cross from Kelly Cooper was picked up by Jo Moppett with a magnificent effort to score a splendid goal.
Okehampton?s second goal was collected by their promising new player, Sarah Toms.
Jo Moppet placed a third past White Eagles? impressive goalie. An excellent cross by Elaine Morgan was again picked up by Moppett to score her third and Okehampton?s fourth goal.
White Eagles never gave up and a few seconds from the end scored their third goal, but the final whistle left Okehampton the winner.
Okehampton meet Falmouth 2nds in their penultimate league game in this week?s home fixture with push back at 2.30pm.
