Josh Bullock, a member of Tavistock Wheelers Cycling Club, performed with great distinction at the recent national 25 mile Time Trial Championships, which were held on a course between Holsworthy and Hatherleigh.

Time trialing is a cycling competition where riders set off at minute intervals from each other and the winner is the cyclist achieving the quickest time.

Josh, aged 18 and from Peter Tavy, finished 21st in a large field for the junior category, with a time of 1 hour 7 minutes, an average speed of over 22.3 miles per hour. Also competing, in the senior category, were club members Richard Brown, who covered the course in 1hr 7 mins and Marvin Laing, who took 1 hour 10 minutes.
