I HAD hoped someone would have written to correct the impression West Devon Council?s Mr Inman (your article on village loos) gave in his description of our loo. ?Seldom used? was the blanket description.

The South Zeal facility is sited close by:

1, the paying field, used regularly in winter for football and rugby, in summer for cricket;

2, the two tennis courts;

3, the small children?s play area;

4, the village car park.

How do I know? My garden backs on to the car park and I have very good hearing!

Also, when visitors leave the bypass at Whiddon Down for Okehampton and the National Park, we are the first village they find and I expect quite a few welcome the chance not only to stretch their legs ?

I wonder what they plan to do with all those decommissioned buildings, sell them for conversion perhaps?
