THIS year?s Sticklepath Fireshow, Pun-tasia!, has been hailed by organisers and fans alike as ?the best ever?. Taking place on Monday November 5 at Finch Foundry field, it was enjoyed by around 2,600 people. Set in the realm of the Master of Bones, the audience were treated to all sorts of delights as Guy Fawkes was set challenges by historical figures including Marie Antoinette, Robbie Burns and Queen Victoria. Guy?s attempts to complete the challenges were hindered every step of the way by the wicked mischief of the three witches. Poor Robbie Burns wanted to address a haggis and ended up with a dressed haggis, kilt and all. A spokesman for the fireshow said: ?After hours of preparation and planning it was a brilliant success. ?There was a really high turnout and the set, performance and fireworks were some of the best ever. ?The weather held off, despite a bit of drizzle at the start that worried us and the children who took part were, as ever, superb and really enjoyed themselves.? The spokesman said the best fireshow in the South West had lived up to its reputation and left the audience enthralled.
