AMONG the 4,000 plus women taking part in last Sunday's Race for Life were a group of women from West Devon who consisted of members from Bere Alston Trekkers, Tavistock Athletics, Saturday Ladies, officers from West Devon Borough Council and their friends.

It was a lovely but blowy day on Plymouth Hoe and after the aerobic warm-up all the ladies made their way to the start. 

The ladies either ran, jogged or walked the 5km route all raising money for Cancer Research. 

The ladies thanked the lovely supporters who came and supported them on the day.
