A BULLOCK, which went missing for two days, ambled off towards the setting sun without a scratch after fire crews hauled it from a farmyard well last week.
The animal went missing from Sandy Park Farm near Kilworthy the day before, but was not found until 9pm last Wednesday.
Two crews from Tavistock fire station and the line rescue team from Camel's Head extricated the beast, which was sitting quietly at the bottom of the 8ft-deep well, uninjured.
'He was fine when we got him up,' said Tavistock sub-officer Tim Smith. 'He just walked off.'
