Old Kelleian 1st XI v Kelly College 1st XI
WITH a very strong Old Kelleian team, it was going to be a tough day for a weakened Kelly first team due to Ten Tors.
This, however, did not stop the team putting in a very sound display, with a few newcomers making a name for themselves.
Sam Goldstone showed his excellence in the field with some very good fielding which led to a run out.
The Old Kelleians lost a couple of early wickets but a sound batting display from Freddy Frost, with a century, gave them a very respectable score for the Kelly first team to chase.
With a change in the batting order for the first team, Harry Macmanus and Jonny Elliot put together a very strong start with a partnership of just short of the century.
It only left the rest of the batsmen to hold off the tight bowling of the opposition to see out the draw.
It was a very good performance from both sides and a good confidence boost for the first team boys to put together a good all round display.
