I WOULD like through your paper to thank on behalf of the Lydford Twelfth Night Ball Committee, all the people that helped, donated and supported the ball on Friday January 7 2000 — £2,040 was raised for Cancer Research Campaign, best ever.

We're sorry to the people who either had the flu or didn't manage to get tickets before they were sold out, there will be tickets again next year, so watch out for posters or the Times forthcoming events.

ON behalf of the Lamerton Handbell Ringers, may we express our sincere thanks to everyone who so very kindly contributed to our collections at functions attended by our teams this Christmas.

The response has been excellent and the hospitality we received has been quite overwhelming.
