REPAIRS to a water supply pipe will result in the closure later this month of the road between Whiddon Down and Drewsteignton (ZC706) at the point adjacent to Stone Cross Farm.
The road will be closed adjacent to the farm for one day on Monday, December 22.
An alternative route will be in operation from Whiddon Down junction to the Drewsteignton Road via Sandy Park.
Access to properties will be maintained as much as possible from one end or the other but if any problems arise contact the local services office on 01837 52773.
STEP back into a bygone age this weekend and take in the sights and sounds of a vintage and classic tractor run which sets off from Okehampton.
The event, organised by the North and East Dartmoor Vintage Working Society, will set off from Mole Avon car park, Okehampton at 10.30am this Sunday (December 7).
The vintage machines will make their way along a route through the Okehampton area before arriving at the George Hotel, Hatherleigh.
THE latest lucky winner in the EX20 Lottery draw is Mrs J Brint, of South Zeal, who wins the first prize of £87.80.
W J Hawking, of Okehampton, took the second prize of £43,90 in the November 25 draw.
Kay Vallance from Inwardleigh, and S Hunt from Okehampton each win £10.98 after winning the third and fourth prizes respectively.
