WASTE and recycling collection days are being changed over the festive period so it is worth checking to make sure you do not miss out.

From December 25 to January 10 inclusive, normal collection days for households will not apply and collections will be made on different dates.

West Devon Borough Council is urging residents to double check to make sure they are putting their waste and recycling out at the correct time.

The information is also available during the festive break through a recorded message on the council's Recycle Helpline on 01822 813600.

The borough council's offices at Kilworthy Park, Tavistock, and St James Street, Okehampton, will be closed during the festive period from 3pm on December 24 to January 1 inclusive and will reopen at 9am on Friday, January 2.
