A BRIDESTOWE resident has won 500 litres of heating oil to heat her home this winter.

Julie Lewis won the prize from Moorland Fuels after entering her name into a draw at Okehampton Show.

She said: 'I don't think I have ever won anything in my life. It was quite a moment when Moorlands Fuels contacted me. It really takes the worry away from winter bills.'

Julie has been a loyal customer of Moorland Fuels since she moved to the area five years ago.

She said: 'I think we need to support local businesses to drive our economy. I have three children and believe we need businesses to thrive and grow, so the next generation of employees have local employment opportunities.'

Moorland Fuels held the competition to celebrate the launch of its new website and their steady growth as a business, having added another tanker to its fleet last week.
