Ever fancied giving Morris Dancing a go? Then Lodestone Border Morris would love to hear from you.
Team Squire Dave Wood said: 'The season of practice is upon us and we would love to have a few more regular dancers. You don't have to know anything about dancing — but the ability to know your left foot from your right would be a terrific advantage.'
Lodestone are a friendly adult mixed side of men and women of all ages and dance in the 'border' morris style that was largely revived in the 1970s/80s.
'It can be a great past-time you get to meet new people, socialise and travel to exotic locations like Teignmouth, Sidmouth and even Chepstow.
'We also welcome interested musicians who may or may not have tried "folk and morris" music. Guitars, banjo, fiddles or even melodeon/accordions.'
Lodestone practice at the Tavy Club in King Street on Thursdays from 8pm to 10pm. If you feel a little sheepish about coming along why not watch the team in Tavistock on Saturday where they will be performing in the square as part of the Tavistock Lions Club World Health Organisation's World Sight Day event.
