PET owners are inundating West Devon Borough Council with enquiries about where they can walk their dogs during the current foot and mouth restrictions, according to spokesman Alison Stoneham.
Mrs Stoneham said in response to the calls, the borough has set up a dedicated 24-hour answerphone.
'If people leave their name and address, we can send them our information leaflet, or they can download the information from our website,' said Mrs Stoneham.
