AS a short diversion from correspondence about the need for another supermarket in Tavistock may I draw your readers' attention to the long-awaited arrival of spring, and in particular its welcome effect on our local gardens?

The Mary Budding Trust will celebrate spring at Old Orchard House, Denham Bridge Road, Buckland Monachorum, PL20 6ET with a woodland walk on Sunday, May 5 and at Hotel Endsleigh Gardens and Arboretum on Tuesday, May 28. Admission to both between 11am and 5pm, adults £4, children free.
