A FREE walk and talk around one of the biggest mines of the Victorian empire is on offer in the Tamar Valley this weekend.
The walk around Devon Great Consols will be led by archaeologist Colin Buck between 1pm and 5pm on Saturday, October 18.
Organised by Tamar Valley AONB Service, the walk will focus on the
ancient copper mines of Wheal Anna Maria and Wheal Josiah.
Due to the rough terrain on the area, pushchairs should not be brought, although the walk is suitable for all ages. Wear stout walking shoes and take refreshments. Dogs welcome on a lead.
Walkers should meet at Wheal Anna Maria. To book a place, call 01822 610676.
