WAKING The Witch, an all female four piece who promise a rollercoaster of emotions expressed in song with glorious harmonies and beautiful, acoustic guitar-based instrumentation appear at The Plough, Torrington tomorrow (Friday). Celebrating the release of their new CD, ?Boys from the Abattoir?, a more edgy, urban Waking the Witch than has been heard previously, are being hailed as a new genre in modern music, ?indie acoustic?. The new CD has been produced by Dave Creffield, famous for his work with well known Leeds band, Embrace. Dave, who has also worked extensively with The Kaiser Chiefs, heard about Waking The Witch following their performance at the Leeds Independent Music Awards in 2006, when members of the Kaisers and Embrace were in the audience. He said: ?I really wanted to be involved with Waking The Witch ? they are amazing singers, guitar players and arrangers and this CD features some of the strongest songs that I have heard in a long, long time.?
