PEOPLE with a passion for fashion, an interest in IT, or skilled in customer service are being encouraged to consider volunteering for Tavistock's Oxfam shop.
Whether you are in need of a fresh start, have just left school or unemployed and want to enhance your CV, volunteering for Oxfam can provide great benefits and 'happy, fun packed days', according to store manager Jackie Theobald.
'We can offer full training, including modern apprenticeships which are equivalent to an NVQ2 in customer services,' said Jackie,
'We are in need of people who are interested in fashion, or customer service, or working online, or interested in e-commerce or anything really.'
Jackie said the shop is looking in particular for people with specialities, such as knowledge of coins, stamps, or IT, but people without specialisms are also welcome to apply.
'I always need new team members — we like to be inclusive, empowering, and like to welcome people from the community and work in partnership with them. There are lots of friendships, lots of fun and a happy vibe here.'
Volunteers can work from 9am to 1pm, 1pm to 5pm or are welcome to work full days.
