HORRABRIDGE’S very own radio station has had to suspend it’s main base — but fear not Radio Walkham is pleased to announce it has set up its 12th remote studio in order to broadcast to the community.

Radio Walkham is known as the UK’s only radio station based within a pub — the London Inn at Horrabridge.

But as people within the country are self-isolating or distancing themselves from society due to the coronavirus outbreak the base has been suspended to protect its presenters.

Paul Hillier, who created and established the station in 2017 and is its director, said: ‘As Studio 1 has now been suspended, Radio Walkham presenters have been setting up studios in their homes to keep the show on the road. They decided to fund the equipment themselves and the remote studios will be controlled by my base.

‘By hook or by crook we will keep the voice of Horrabridge community going.

‘We will be working closely with the support group Team Horrabridge to make sure that everyone gets the information they require.’
