Elm United U15s 1 Tavistock Town U15s 3 WEBBER had to make two saves and one goal was conceded before Tavistock started to play good football, and within 15 minutes they were 3-1 ahead, thanks to three excellent team moves. The equaliser came from a McCall pass to Lyle who then forwarded it to Bray who slotted the ball into the net. Bray showed how sharp he was when he also started the move which allowed Lyle to chip the Elm goalkeeper to make it 2-1 Tavistock. Goal number 3 came from one of the many runs made by Doyle. He crossed the ball to Bray who made it 3-1. Tavistock were kicking uphill in the second half but they played even better with Dee putting the ball over the bar and Lyle scoring his second only to see it disallowed as the linesman deemed him to be offside. Hooe Rovers U13s 3 Tavistock Town U13s 2 THIS top of the table clash proved an exciting affair with both teams playing attractive football. Unfortunately for Tavistock a few missed chances and lapses in defence cost them the points. Man of the match Ollie McCrea pulled off some excellent saves. Ben Pridham was the pick of the defenders with his mix of strength and determination. The midfield was a tough battle throughout, with the Tavistock lads working tirelessly in helping the defence and creating chances up front. Sub Tom Sherrell gave Tavistock hope with two more well taken goals but time ran out as the lads tried to force an equaliser. Tavistock Town U12s 2 Weston Mill U12s 3 Weston Mill came to Tavistock looking for another win to keep them second, and with two quick goals it looked as though Tavistock would lose by a bucketful of goals. However, it wasn?t long before Alford brought the score back to 2-1, and just before the half-time whistle Court rifled a shoot into the back of the net. In the second half Weston Mill were under pressure most of the time, with great performances from Hore, Case and Blatchford. However, with seconds to go Weston Mill scored from a corner to win. Sam Turner opened up the scoring after five minutes with a good finish.
