Devon U15 Plate semi-final Plymouth Argaum U15s 0 Okehampton U15s 60 THE Okehampton front row of props Scott Simpson and Tom Richards, with hooker Tom McGratton, destroyed the Argaum front row and enabled their side to control the match. From the kick-off Okehampton moved the ball well through both forwards and backs up to the Argaum 5 metre line. From the Argaum scrum Okehampton won the ball and No8 Rob Long picked up and crashed over to score. With Simpson, Long and Stuart Bennie standing off to take crash balls from scrum half Richard Friend and to suck in defenders, Friend then moved the ball to fly-half Rory Honeychurch, on to centres Tom Browne and Carl Poynton, to carve through almost at will for wing Carl Goodall to score. Poynton then scored and Goodall touched down twice more for a hat-trick, followed by Poynton?s second. Long then broke from inside his own half, was tackled just short of the try line and Luke Crocker, as always on hand, picked up the ball and dived over to score and end a brilliant first half of rugby. Argaum tried to come back in the second half but Okehampton?s defence was solid, Dan Braime making a couple of big hits and flanker Will Heard giving the Argaum fly-half no room at all. Full-back Jake Chisholm caught everything and ran it back gaining a lot of yards. Simpson drove on then, setting up Honeychurch for a try. No 8 Long again picked up at the back of a scrum in his own half and charged through to score at the end. Poynton converted four tries and a penalty, with Browne and Friend converting one each.
