A GROUP of 13 students from Shebbear College?s third form, accompanied by teachers, set off for the South West of France for their activities week.

The location was a campsite by a lake in Western Europe?s largest forest, but only a few miles from the sea.

The weather was hot and sunny by day. Activities were varied and enjoyable ? mountain biking, sailing, windsurfing and canoeing, as well as many evening events to keep everyone amused.

The students included Tobias Hayes, of Ashwater, Max Green, of Highhampton, Daniel Trescher, of Okehampton, and Sophie Buist, Jack Horwell and Tristan Brown, of Shebbear.
