TAKE a stylish step back in time at Tavistock Town Hall next week when the Vintage and Textile Fair comes to town.
The fair on Friday October 21 runs from 10am to 6pm and will see 38 traders offering a variety of goods from their tables — vintage wares and collectables include jewellery, vintage clothes, emphera, French brocante, glass, furnishings, textiles and kitchenalia and many more.
The first fair, held last June, was a big success and the latest event sees some new traders and many returning, including 'More Tea Vicar?' with a range of Fairtrade cakes, sandwiches and soups — the café is decorated in retro fashion, complete with staff in vintage costume. The last event saw some customers wearing vintage fashions to add to the atmosphere — and at next week's fair it is hoped others will follow suit.
Music from the last 50 years will be played all day and there will be a show of vintage images on stage.
The fair will run until 6pm to give more people the chance to visit.
Donations will be welcomed at the door to raise funds for Devon Air Ambulance.
