RESIDENTS in Bere Alston took a step back in time on Saturday night, to enjoy the festivities of the annual carnival Victorian evening.
Visitors were able to take a ride on the mini train, peruse the many Christmas stalls, try out the fairground rides and have their faces painted, while watching the street entertainment of Morris Dancers, fire jugglers and hand-bell ringers.
Father Christmas stopped by and set up his grotto at the Mansbridge and Balment office and after all the entertainment, visitors were able enjoy mulled wine, roasted chestnuts and bacon baps.
