GERMANSWEEK will be transported back to the days of pony and trap, hob nail boots with full length frocks and a thriving self-contained community which time passed by.
The trip back in time will be achieved with photographs of the village, its people and places, collected over the years.
In addition to the pictures, there is a considerable library of written material and documents from the last 200 years.
The picture archive is possibly the most comprehensive one could amass on one of the smallest villages in West Devon. The earliest photographs date from the 1870s and are said to portray around 70% of the people who lived in the parish over the last century.
This exhibition will present a golden opportunity for anyone with an interest in the wardrobes from the turn of the century. Within this unique collection are a large selection of wedding photographs from the parish over the last 100 years. Church records dating back to 1650 are available on microfiche, for those researching family trees.
The vast amount of historic written material and pictures has meant the entire parish hall will be used to display the exhibits.
The doors will be open from 2pm-8pm for a full eight days, from Sunday, June 22 until Sunday, June 29.
