AROUND 40 works by local artists are due to go on show in Lydford this weekend, during the run-up to Christmas. The original water colour and oil paintings are by around six members of the 14-strong Canzart group, which is based in the village. The exhibition opens on Saturday December 11 at the White Lady tea rooms at Lydford Gorge and will run until December 19 ? admission is free. All the works feature local scenes including the gorge, rivers and images of Dartmoor ? the paintings are for sale and the artists have agreed to donate 10% of any work sold to Devon Air Ambulance.
