POLICE were called to a private car park on Drake Road, beneath Tavistock Viaduct, early on Monday morning, where a womans body was found.

Four police cars attended the scene and the area was cordoned off for a short while.

The death is not being treated as suspicious and the body was taken to North Devon District Hospital for a post mortem examination.

The womans identity still had not been confirmed by the coroner as the Times went to press.
