FIRE crews used a winch to make a vehicle safe after it was found hanging on the bridge at Newbridge, Callington, following a collision on Saturday evening.

The collision on the A390 just before 11pm involved a single vehicle but no-one was trapped inside when the fire appliance from Callington arrived.

Police and the ambulance were also in attendance and traffic had to be re-directed for some time while the vehicle was made safe.
