I WOULD like to say thank you to the Times for carrying my lost gent's ring notice in December, but more importantly to the 10-year-old boy from Callington who found it, and his mother.

Having found the ring in Tavistock and seen the Times notice they contacted the police on more than one occasion in order for the ring to be returned to its owner.

They put themselves out in order to return the ring to my husband and it reminded me that we should value the good in people, including young people. The ring has great sentimental value and its return means a lot to us.
