Tavistock Men's 1sts 3
Minehead 0
THE match started at a quick tempo with both sides wanting to end the season with a win.
Tavistock created good play with the halves and forwards linking well to give Josh Cowan a well deserved goal after a solo run.
The back line of Rundle, George, Lethbridge and Wood kept Minehead dry from goals with Bradley comfortably kicking away any loose balls. This frustrated Minehead even more.
With the luxury of extra players, substitutes were used to great effect. Legs were kept fresh on this hot day and half-time was a welcomed break.
The second half saw the domination of the Tavistock halves, Lovett, Edwards, Daniels, Richards, Holland and Jeffery pushing the away side further into their own half and making mistakes. This left an opportunity for Jeffery to blast one past the keeper.
Tavistock passed the ball from side to side, backwards and forwards, leaving the away side to lose the plot and make as many clattering challenges as possible. Most of the team wiped this away but some were felt hard done by and were close to cards.
Displays of excellence resulted in a perfect build up with Vinson slotting away goal number three.
Last game of the season this week, home to Chard at 2.30pm.
