A MURAL has transformed the playground at Princetown Community Primary School.

The school council, known as Children United, came up with the idea to spruce up the playground.

The children took full responsibility for the project, contacted people to help them, organised a range of fundraising events and wrote to local businesses for donations.

They expressed thanks to Tinhay Building Suppliers of Tavistock for the donation of paint and the Oratory B&B for the donation of brushes and rollers.

With a helping hand and lots of advice from Lisa Rowe, a former parent at the school and local resident, the football mural got underway in the summer term and everyone is thrilled with the result.
