OKEHAMPTON Football Club had a nice pre-match treat last week when they received a cheque for £800 from Okehampton United Charity.
Karen Percival, clerk for Okehampton United Charity, presented the cheque to the club prior to their match against Appledore.
Club secretary Charlie Bond said: 'We will use the money for two new state-of-the-art goalposts.
'The grant from Okehampton United Charity was very well received, as it will cover the vast majority of the costs, and we would like to thank them for their kind support.'
The team went on to draw 2-2 with their Carlsberg South West Peninsula division 1 east opponents.
