A PACKED programme featuring many talented musicians will make up this year's Tavistock Proms Concert, which takes place in the town hall on Friday September 11.
Each year Tavistock Versatile Brass Ensemble donates all the funds collected during the previous 12 months to a local charity and again, this year's chosen charity is McMillan Cancer Support.
September's concert features the brass group along with Soundhouse Brass,Vocal Harem, The Sultans of Sing, local tenors Tyrone Piper and Simon Prout together with soprano Rosemary Turner.
The concert promises to be a feast of local musical talent and will feature traditional Last Night of the Proms pieces such as Rule Britannia, Pomp and Circumstance, Jerusalem and Sea Songs.
The concert is so popular that tickets are sure to sell out so early purchase is advised to avoid dissapointment.
Flag waving and fun is compulsary and this years venue, Tavistock Town Hall, promises to ensure a great atmosphere at this ever popular event.
